Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon oregano dried
  • 1 teaspoon basil dried
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • Toppings of your choice lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, etc.

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty.
  • Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. If using a stovetop pan, grease it with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
  • Place the chicken patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the patties are golden brown.
  • While the chicken burgers are cooking, you can toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  • Once the chicken burgers are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  • Assemble your burgers by placing each chicken patty on a toasted bun and adding your favorite toppings.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade chicken burgers!
