  • 1.5 pounds ground turkey 93% lean
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs whole wheat for a healthier option
  • ½ cup skim milk
  • ½ cup finely diced onion
  • ½ cup finely diced celery
  • ½ cup finely diced carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare the Pan: Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
  • Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, diced onion, celery, carrots, minced garlic, beaten eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Shape the Meatloaf: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and shape it into a loaf.
  • Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup ketchup and honey or maple syrup. Brush the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Resting Time: Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
